As he completes a six-year term as Chair of the UN’s Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee (POPRC), Environmental Protection Authority kaimahi and Principal Scientist Dr Peter Dawson reflects on nearly two decades of contributing to international chemical safety. His work has helped strengthen global decision‑making on hazardous substances and ensured New Zealand plays an informed, effective role in meeting its international obligations.
